July 17th, 2008College Life

I can’t wait until I’m done with my high school diploma. Then I can move on into college and maybe even get a chance to play with beer pong tables. I hear the game is quite fun and I’ve seen it so many times in movies and tv shows, so I really want to try it out for myself.

Along with college life, there’s the many new friends you might. Plus, you get a chance to major in something you want for a career.

I can’t wait!!

May 16th, 2008Me A Business Woman?

When I was little, I always imagined being a business woman or being in some sort of lawyer related career. All dressed up in a nice skirt, blouse, heels, and carrying something like a Zero Halliburton briefcase.

Of course none of that has come true…yet! I’m still working on completing my high school diploma, and then from there I want to go to college. And yes…I’d have to juggle many things including time to take care of my son.

But with dedication, I’m sure I’ll be able to achieve anything!

February 18th, 2008Fly on the wall

I remember when I was back in high school and we had to do stupid self assessment quizzes that really were just a waste of time. In fact, we did plenty of things that were a waste of time. For some reason, the teachers always thought they were fun.

I always ask my older sister Lisa what she does with her classroom. I even wonder if she bores them like my teachers did with me. It would be really funny to be a fly on the wall and see how my sister manages a classroom all my herself. Heehee.

January 19th, 2008Cool Lab Furniture!!

labfurniture.jpgA few years ago when I was attending high school as a full time student, we had these mini classes where you could find out what career you actually wanted to go with.

During one exercise, we had to answer questions and then it would displays the top career results for you. Most of mine dealt with the medical profession. I even had one as a Lab technician. Now that would be cool to have Laboratory Furniture like the ones from FormASpace.com. They look absolutely gorgeous and remind me of the furniture you see on hit tvs shows like CSI: Las Vegas.

However, I don’t think I want to work in a lab. I actually want to be a registered nurse. I haven’t gone to college for it yet, but I hope so once I get my high school diploma done and over with. I can’t wait to hurry up and finish the last few credits I need.

January 18th, 2008Thinking about my future…

graduate.jpgI’ve been working hard on completing my HS diploma. Yes, I know I’m a bit late with that, but everyone goes at their own speed. I’ve been working on it even harder lately and trying to get all the credits I need as soon as possible.

Why? Well since I now have a son, I need to look into ways I can best provide for him in the future. One of which is finishing my diploma and then continuing onto college. I really want to get a college degree so I can get a great job in the future and be able to purchase things for my son whenever he needs it.

My hubby and I have also been doing some looking around and planning. One of the topsoldhouse.jpg things we have on the list is a new car. Next will be looking into finding our own house. We even have ideas for a recreational room where there will be a bar and bar stools available when visitors come over. It would be awesome.

All of this needs the right planning done. First things first is getting a good job. Then, it’s all the saving money. After that, we have to make some wise decisions. Then the final step, purchase it!

I don’t know how long this will actually take, but we are working on it everyday. Maybe in a year or two we might have it accomplished. who knows…but we will definitely put our best foot forward.

December 22nd, 2007Someone smack me now…

I’ve been so busy that I keep forgetting to check back in and write some posts. Please, smack me now. Ouch! Hahaha…I’m only playin’….but ya…it’s been way too busy with Christmas being around the corner and taking care of my son & baby daddy.

Then there’s school where I’m completing homework everyday so I can hand in and receive my credits. I only have a few credits to go in order to get my high school diploma because I was a wild child back then and stopped going to high school. Now I’m in this adult school where I have books that I take home and have to complete them at my own pace. There’s like four books for every credit and a take home exam. I’m winging through this because it’s really easy!! Even my sister Tina mentioned that if she knew about this school, she would of stopped going to normal high school and go there.

It’s great because I can complete these credits while at home and taking care of my son and doing things around the apartment. I’m not 100% sure what I want to do after I complete my high school diploma. I know I want to attend college, but for what? I don’t know…We’ll see when the time comes but I know I want to do something that will make reasonable money so I can take care of my family without having to worry if we’ll make ends meet.

That’s how it feels right now. It seems we are barely getting by but I know I have my family behind me who will support us. That’s why I want to complete my high school credits and get my diploma so I can move onto bigger and better things without asking my family for help.

Well…I’ve got to cut this short because it’s getting late and the little one just got up. Time to go feed him and rock him back to sleep. Goodnight.

May 22nd, 2007School Work Again!

Once again, this morning I am busy working on my school homework. My school is a pretty easy school to attend, its a little different from the regular school. I transferred to this school because I was having some problems in my other high school. In this school that I attend now, for each class there are 20 booklets you must complete. These booklets are very easy to do, if you work hard at them you are able to hand in like 2 or 3 booklets every week. After you are done those booklets, some classes may or may not have a final exam.

Such as my last Science class, I just completed the 20 booklets and I did not even have to write an exam! My final mark was 82%. Right now I was currently working on my English homework before I decided to come and write up a post. I am on lesson 16 for English, so thank goodness I am almost done. I only need 4 more booklets to go and then I get the credit. YAY! Well I must get back to my work because I want to hand in some work tomorrow to my teacher.

Bye for now! =)

Student loan consolidation is something most students should go through. The reason is that most students do apply for student loans to cover their tuition costs. Thus, having a student loan consolidation would in fact benefit them in the long run knowing ways they could pay back their loan.

Because I am still currently in high school, I have yet to take out a student loan. I probably will do so in the future when I attend college or university.
