Before I met Tanya I was in a cycle of neglect for my self-care, my self-love, and guardianship of my health physically and mentally. I would consistently put everything, (work, family, friends, school and daily responsibilities) before my own needs, care, heath and goals. Neglecting my own needs lead me to gain and lose weight constantly my entire life which also created an astronomical amount of stress and anxiety in my life. I was the typical “yo-yo” dieter, weight cycler, and over-eater. I finally reached my breaking point in 2014 when I achieved my heaviest at 221 lbs. No diet, workout schedule or magic pill I had tried worked. I needed a change for the long-term, something that would last me my entire life, not just a few months.
When I met Tanya she taught me how to use simple daily strategies. Using her simple tools daily and incorporating them into my daily routine helped me go from a size 16 to a size 10 and drop over 40 lbs.! Not only did my body physically change, but more importantly, Tanya taught me how to have a new found love and respect for myself and my body. Before working with Tanya, I hated my body and everything about it. My body was my constant enemy that never looked, felt, or was quite right. My body could never be good enough. With the tools Tanya gave me I have been able to develop a better understanding of how my past neglect affected my self-image and in turn affected the physical aspects of my body. Today I regularly schedule time to take care of myself whether its meal prepping for the week or fitting in daily exercise. I have a new found perspective on what I need to do to build a lifestyle that supports my goals for my body and over all self-care.
For the first time in my life I can honestly say I feel comfortable in my own skin and I love myself no matter what size I am. I actually bought a bikini for the first time ever in the summer of 2015. 🙂 I no longer constantly worry about how to maintain my physical appearance. I feel free and at ease knowing I have the tools to accomplish any goal I want in regards to my health and lifestyle. Working with Tanya has been a life changing experience for me.
