Wow…I can’t believe how fast my baby boy is growing. It just seems like yesterday I was holding him for the very first time. It’s crazy how time flies. Just look at how big he is now in the photo below.

He’s definitely looking like his father more and more each day. It’s crazy how identical they are. One of these days I’ll post a nice family picture with the three of us. Then you can totally see who he looks more of.

I can’t wait until his curls come in. Then I can make him a little afro head. LOL! You can only see his curls when his hair is wet. I’m gonna love it when they come in completely even when his hair is dry. I think that happens when a child who is bi-racial is like almost one years old or something like that. I read it somewhere.

There are so many things I wonder about Marquis. Things like, “What will he look like in ten years? How will his voice sound?” and “What will his first word be?” Awwww…just thinking about it makes my mind drift away with all the possibilities.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I’m turning 19 in February. I can’t wait!!!

Does that mean I can legally enter casinos?? I’m not even sure because I have NEVER been to one and don’t know the age requirements.

Oh well…I’ll try to convince my hubby on heading down to Las Vegas this year so we can try out the slots. Of course we’ll have to stay at a fancy Las Vegas hotel.

Isn’t the city known for their flashy lights and night life?? I can’t wait to check it out and see it myself!!

My birthday is coming up next month. I’m soooo excited for it because I’ll be turning 19 years old!!! Woot!!

Yup, so mark it down - Feb 17th is my birthday. LOL! The funny thing is that our family dog Ginger has her birthday just two days after on Feb 19th. She’ll be turning 10 years old.

Of course Tina is going to go all out for her. She’s like her best friend and they do everything together (no joke)…Ginger follows her EVERYWHERE!! So, I’ll have to get her something too for her birthday.

Maybe I’ll head over to the mall sometime this week and check out some pet supplies. She could use some new toys and treats. Hum…maybe I’ll even get her a new blanket because she absolutely loves using a blanket when going to sleep.

LOL!….our dog is really like a mini-human. Hahaha

Awhile back, my sister Tina ended up buying a lot of much needed things for my apartment. One of them was a vacuum. She bought me a mini dirt devil one that I saw at Wal-Mart and wanted.

Now that I have been using it for a few months, I think I need a bigger one. I thought that getting the mini one would be nice especially considering that I live in an apartment, but it’s just not that great.

I guess I’ll have to go and take a look at the vacuum cleaners section at Wal-Mart again. Of course I’ll get my hubby to buy a better one.

My apartment is in major need of a change. It just seems so gloomy these days. Maybe it’s just the mix and match furniture I have, or it’s the lighting. I’m not quite sure…either or, I’m thinking about getting some new Seagull lighting for my place.

The lights I have now are just cheap ones that I got from Wal-Mart and they don’t really do justice to bring out the colours and make it homey. That’s why I need a change.

Maybe I’ll change things up next weekend. I don’t know, but it’s gotta be when my son is over at my mom’s place. That’s for sure!

This summer should be an interesting one. I get to bring my two month old son with me. I can just see him now playing in the water, splashing it here and there.

I was talking to my man the other night and we were talking about whether or not to rent a cottage or even something like the Hilton Head rentals. It would be awesome to just get away for a weekend and have some quality family time.

I can’t wait for the summer…really…all this cold whether is making me sick.

Have you ever wanted to make your own logo design or design you own business card for your business or profession?

Well, good news!! You can and it’s sooooo easy thanks to Logoyes.com. I recently tried out their free demo on their website. You can too!!

I found this demo extremely helpful especially if I were seriously looking to design a logo and business card if I had a business in my real life.

So for the demo purposes, I just put “Tanya’s Baby Toys”. Yes…that’s all that’s on my mind these days especially with having my two month old son. LOL!

Anyways, I did take some screenshots of how easy it was to create a logo and design a business card. The first image you see below is the main screen of the demo. You must first choose a category from which you would like to find a logo from. I decided to click on “Flair”.

The image below is the new screen. Now you have to choose another category from an industry of your choice. For the demo purposes, I chose “Crafts + Hobbies”.

On the next screen, you can to go through page after page of gorgeous logos that you want to use. There were A LOT to choose from which is great!! I ended up picking the teddy bear.

The next screen is where you can add in your company title and even an optional message below it. I decided to just put a company title of “Tanya’s Baby Toys”. You also got to pick from a variety of different fonts that were available.

This next screen is where things got really interesting. You can rotate, flip, resize, zoom, and even change the colour of your logo. I decided to enlarge the teddy bear because it was too small for me.

As you can see below, I decided to change the colour of the font I was using for the company name. I changed it to green.

This is the business card I ended up creating at the end. Of course I left the company information as the default because this is a fictional company I made for demo purposes. Don’t you love it???

This entire process took a mere 5 minutes!! That’s all!! It was really quick and easy!! There were so many design decisions you could make which made this even more personal in how you wanted it to turn up.

I can honestly say that I’m totally in love with this site. If I ever own a business in the future, I’m sure I’ll make my own logo and business card through Logoyes.com. It really was that simple and so easy to do that even someone not too experienced with designing could make the perfect business card!!

Try it out yourself. The demo is free to use and I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as I did!!

Whenever I go shopping at the stores, I always happen to end up looking at the office desks and furniture section of the store.

Don’t ask me why, I have no clue and it’s not like I need a new one…I just end up doing so.

Another section I always go and check out is the baby section. Obviously you all know why I check out that section. If you don’t, it’s because I have a two month old son. So I’m always picking up things I need like diapers, wipes, shampoo, etc.

The rest of the sections in the store, I don’t visit much unless I need something from there. My trips to the mall are usually quick. LOL!
