October 29th, 20079th Month of Pregnancy

I finally went into my 9th month of pregnancy last week. I’m really nervous now since my due date is only 3 weeks away. OMG!! I can’t believe it. All this time carrying him in my womb and now he’s going to be coming out into the world. It will be a day I’ll never forget. I can’t wait to hold him and take photos so I can show you all my new born baby boy. *sigh…wonders what he looks like*

Here is my 9th month of pregnancy photograph.

The internet is a great place to find exciting new websites that will make you look differently at how things work. Take for instance this website called Spock that is a free people search engine. How cool is that??

After spending quite the time looking through the website and getting acquainted with it, I thought I’d share my experience and thoughts with you.

The first thing that caught my eye was the little favicon that the website has. It’s so cute and reminds me of those stick figures people draw all the time. LOL!

The one thing I love about this website is the fact that the layout is clean and simple. It’s great for everyone no matter what their internet connection because it loads REALLY quickly!! That’s always a plus in my books.

What’s great about this website is that you can simply search for any tag you think of. It could be any name, keyword, or location. These can vary from blue eyes, veggies, skinny, feet, author, big ears, athlete, etc. There really is no limit to what you can search.

Because I am currently expecting a baby, which I’ll be having next month, I decided to test the search by searching for babies. While I was typing, I noticed this great drop down menu that appears. It gives other tags that are available that deal with the keyword “babies”.

Here is a snapshot I took below:

On the main page of Spock.com, you will find three separate columns that have the titles: People, News, and Searches. This is great because it gives you some top people that you can easily click on to search. The columns change everytime you refresh so it gives you a nice variety.

Another interesting thing I found was that they allow you to embed widgets on your website from keywords that you have searched. This is great for picking keywords that deal with the website you run. You can see an example of the widget below from the search I did of the keyword “babies”.

I think this website has great potential to becoming something really big! They are this good so far and they are only in beta. I’m looking forward to seeing how the site develops and other interesting things they’ll add for users to try out.

Check out Spock.com for your people searches today!

October 25th, 2007Hungry, hungry hippo

Yup…I guess that’s what you can call me. I’m been eating anything and everything that I come across. I guess it’s just something that’s change within me as a result of my pregnancy. Obviously I know I now eat for two people. I didn’t know I’d have all these cravings though.

One minute I was fruits, the next I want ice cream. Ten minutes later I was sea food. It’s crazy!! I’ll be looking forward to having less cravings once I’m done the pregnancy.

October 23rd, 2007Looking for love? Get it free!

I’ve been with my boyfriend since January of this year. It wasn’t too difficult to find someone who just clicked with me. I know many of my friends have problems finding the perfect one which is why I always suggest for them to try online dating websites.

Dating in Canada has never been so easy!! There are plenty of websites out there but one I personally signed up for was FlirtBox.ca. The website has so many great features and it’s absolutely FREE!! What’s better than finding love when it comes for free?

You can easily search by a variety of different criteria. There is even a list of the Top 50 Singles!! Some other things you can check include:

  • forums
  • webcam chats
  • browse members
  • find a date
  • and so much more!!

Take a look at this free dating website today and find that perfect someone who’d you like to share the rest of your life with!

October 22nd, 2007October nearly done

The end of October is nearing so quickly. I can’t imagine what next month is going to be like, especially since the baby will be born by then. It should be interesting because it’ll be my first time being a mom and doing motherly things.

I’m a little nervous though. Many questions are still running through my head such as: Will my baby like me? Will I be a good mother? etc…I’m sure every first mother thinks of a million questions regarding their newborn baby. I’m no different.

On with other news. Next week is my sister Tina’s 22nd birthday. I don’t even know what I’m going to get her. *you hear that Tina, I have no clue* LOL!!! I’ll just have to look around and see what I come up with because I won’t be posting my ideas here since she stops by. Hahaha

October 19th, 2007Have we exchanged links?

If we have exchanged links, can you please update my link to my new domain at http://tanyasilva.com. Thanks sooo much!!

October 19th, 2007What an active baby!!

Geeze, it seems that I can never take a break. My baby is constantly on the move and kicking. It’s really crazy. Even at night…it’s non-stop moving. Sometimes it freaks me out just like it did to my dog while she was laying beside my belly. The baby kicked and she felt it. She then stood right up with a funny look on her face. LOL!! It was one of those priceless moments. hahaha

There I am in the above picture. Next week I’ll be entering my 9th month of pregnancy. It’s crazy how time flies by. It feels just like yesterday that I was breaking the news to my sisters. Now that the entire world knows that I’m expecting a baby boy, I’m glad that the wait it almost over. Pretty soon I’ll be holding my first baby in my arms. I can’t wait for the day.

October 17th, 2007More baby stuff!

Eek…it’s the middle of October already!! Can you believe it?? I can’t…geeze…the days are coming now and it seems November is just around the corner.

I’ve been getting some last minute things before the arrival of the baby. I just bought this car seat/carrier at Wal-Mart today. It’s so cute! It’s going to take me a little while to read through the instruction manual and go through all the safety information. I want my child to be safe at all times!!

Anyways, here’s the baby car seat/carrier I got.
